Eligibility and requirements for candidates

Who can apply through Global Talent Connect?
We work primarily with skilled workers, specialists, and professionals who are interested in long-term employment in Germany or other European countries. This typically includes candidates with completed vocational training, a university degree, or strong professional experience in a relevant field.

Do I need a job offer before contacting you?
No. You can contact us even if you do not yet have a job offer. We can assess your profile, explain realistic options, and in some cases actively connect you with suitable employers.

Is there an age limit?
There is usually no strict age limit, but some visa categories, recognition procedures, or employer preferences may take age into account. We will discuss your situation individually during a consultation.

Do I need to be outside Germany to work with you?
No. We support candidates both inside and outside Germany. However, the visa options and required steps can differ if you are already in Germany on another status.

What documents should I have ready before starting?
It is helpful if you can already prepare the following documents (in PDF if possible):

  • Updated CV in English or German
  • Diplomas, certificates, or proof of vocational training
  • Work references or employment confirmations
  • Passport copy

You can find a more detailed list in our blog article “Checklist: Documents Needed for Skilled Worker Visa to Germany”.

Recruitment and matching process

How does the recruitment process work for candidates?
In simplified terms, the process usually looks like this:

  1. You contact us and share your CV and background.
  2. We review your profile and, if suitable, schedule a consultation.
  3. We agree on the next steps (e.g., CV optimization, job search support, employer introductions).
  4. We arrange interviews with interested employers and help you prepare.
  5. If an employer makes an offer, we support you with contract review and visa preparation.
  6. We coordinate with the employer and, where applicable, with authorities during the visa and relocation process.

How long does it usually take to find a job?
The timeline depends on your profile, language skills, industry, and the current job market. Some candidates receive offers within a few weeks; for others, it can take several months. We cannot promise a specific result, but we will be transparent about your chances.

Do you work exclusively with one employer or several?
We work with multiple employers. Depending on your profile, we may present you to different companies to increase your chances of getting a suitable offer.

Can I apply directly to job postings and still work with you?
Yes. You are free to apply independently to other jobs. When we are actively representing you to our partner employers, we just ask you to keep us informed to avoid duplicate applications.

Visa, documents, and legal topics

Do you handle the visa application for me?
We can guide you through the process, prepare documents together with you and your employer, and coordinate with relevant stakeholders. However, you remain responsible for submitting your application and providing truthful and complete information to the authorities.

What is the fast-track procedure under § 81a AufenthG?
It is an accelerated process for certain skilled workers, where the employer applies for pre-approval in Germany to shorten processing times. Not every case is eligible, and the decision always lies with the competent authorities. You can read more in our blog article “How the § 81a Fast-Track Visa Process Works” or on our Visa & Immigration page.

Which documents are usually required for a work visa?
This depends on the visa type and your profession, but often includes:

  • Valid passport
  • Signed employment contract or binding job offer
  • Proof of qualifications (diploma, vocational training certificate, professional license)
  • CV and motivation letter
  • Proof of professional experience
  • Sometimes language certificates and recognition documents

For a more detailed overview, see our blog post “Checklist: Documents Needed for Skilled Worker Visa to Germany”.

Can you guarantee that my visa will be approved?
No. The final decision is always made by the immigration authorities and German missions abroad. We can help you prepare a strong, complete application and clarify questions, but we cannot influence official decisions.

Fees, payments, and contracts

Do candidates have to pay for your services?
Many of our core recruitment services are paid by the employer. However, we also offer optional paid services for candidates, such as personal consultations, CV optimization, or document checks. These are always transparently communicated before you book anything.

Where can I see the prices for candidate services?
You can find current prices and service descriptions in our Candidate Services shop. Typical examples include:

  • Initial Career & Visa Consultation (60 min)
  • Premium Job Application Package
  • Document Check & Qualification Assessment

Do you take a percentage of my salary if I get a job?
No. We do not take a share of your salary. If the employer pays us a fee, it is a separate agreement and does not reduce your salary.

When do I sign a contract with Global Talent Connect?
Before we provide paid candidate services, we will send you clear information and, where required, a service agreement outlining the scope, price, and conditions. For free services related to employer-paid recruitment projects, we may ask you to confirm certain declarations (for example, about the accuracy of your information).

Do you guarantee that buying a service will lead to a job or visa?
No. Paid services are designed to improve your profile, documentation, and process, but they cannot guarantee employment or visa approval.

Relocation, family, and integration

Do you help with relocation to Germany or other European countries?
Yes. Depending on the project and employer, we can assist with topics such as travel planning, initial accommodation, registration steps after arrival, and basic onboarding guidance. The exact level of support varies and will be clarified with you and your employer.

Can my family come with me?
In many cases, spouses and children can join you under family reunification rules, but this depends on your residence title, income level, housing situation, and other factors. We will explain general requirements, but the authorities make the final decision.

Do you also support my family members with their visas?
We can provide general guidance and, in some projects, additional support for family members. Any additional services beyond the main candidate case will be discussed and agreed individually.

Will you help me integrate after arrival (e.g., bureaucracy, culture)?
We typically provide an orientation on the most important steps after arrival (registration, health insurance, bank account, etc.) and can share resources on culture and working life in Germany. Some employers also offer internal onboarding and integration programs.

Language skills and qualifications

Which language level do I need?
This strongly depends on your profession, employer, and the working environment. Many skilled workers need at least B1–B2 level German, especially in regulated professions. In some international companies or IT roles, English may be sufficient at the beginning, but German is still a strong advantage for long-term integration.

Do I need officially recognized qualifications?
For many regulated professions (for example nurses, doctors, certain trades), recognition of your qualification in Germany is necessary. For other roles, employers may focus more on your skills and experience. We will clarify the likely requirements during the assessment of your profile.

Can you help me with recognition of qualifications?
Yes. One of our services is to support you in preparing and submitting recognition applications, coordinating with the relevant authorities, and understanding the outcome. You can read more under Recognition of qualifications and professional approval.

Do you help with language learning?
We do not operate our own language school, but we can recommend language providers and, in some projects, coordinate language courses together with employers or partners.

Data protection and privacy

How do you use my personal data?
We use your data primarily to assess your profile, present you to potential employers (with your consent), and provide recruitment, visa, and relocation services. We do not sell your data.

With whom do you share my data?
We may share relevant information with potential employers, external partners involved in your process (for example, legal or relocation partners), and, where necessary, with authorities. We only share what is needed for the specific purpose and in line with applicable data protection laws.

Can I request deletion of my data?
Yes. You can contact us at any time and ask us to delete your data, subject to legal retention requirements. Please see our Privacy Policy for more details.

Where can I find your full Privacy Policy?
You can find detailed information about data categories, purposes, legal bases, retention periods, and your rights on our Privacy Policy page.
