About working with Global Talent Connect

Who is Global Talent Connect?
Global Talent Connect is a specialist recruitment and visa support partner helping German and European employers hire skilled professionals from around the world. We combine talent sourcing, pre-screening, and visa coordination so you can fill roles faster and with full legal compliance.

What types of employers do you work with?
We typically work with small and medium-sized companies, fast-growing scale-ups, and selected larger organizations that need international talent for hard-to-fill roles, especially in engineering, IT, healthcare, logistics, and skilled trades.

How is Global Talent Connect different from a traditional recruitment agency?
In addition to recruitment, we coordinate visa processes (including the accelerated procedure under § 81a AufenthG where applicable), document preparation, and relocation support. This means one central partner instead of multiple intermediaries.

Do you also support candidates directly?
Yes. We provide career, document, and visa-related services for candidates, which helps ensure they are better prepared and more likely to succeed in your hiring process.

How our recruitment process works

What are the main steps in your recruitment process?
We start with a requirements and role definition call, followed by global sourcing and targeted outreach. We then pre-screen candidates, coordinate interviews with you, support you through the offer stage, and finally assist with visa, documentation, and relocation.

How involved do we need to be in candidate selection?
You always make the final hiring decision. We prepare shortlists, share candidate profiles and interview notes, and recommend best fits, but you decide who to interview and who to hire.

Can you work with our internal HR or talent acquisition team?
Yes. We regularly collaborate with in-house HR, talent acquisition, and hiring managers to align our process with your existing workflows and tools.

Expected timelines and speed

How long does it usually take to present candidates?
For well-defined roles, you typically receive the first shortlisted candidates within 2–4 weeks after signing the cooperation agreement and providing all required role information.

How long do visa and relocation usually take?
Timelines vary by country, role, and authorities. For Germany, a standard skilled worker visa process often takes 6–12 weeks once documents are complete. Under the fast-track procedure (§ 81a AufenthG), processing can be significantly faster, depending on the case and the responsible authority.

Can you support urgent or high-priority hires?
Yes. We can prioritize certain roles, provided requirements are clear and decision-making on your side is fast. We will always be transparent about realistic timelines.

Who we source and from where

What types of roles and seniority levels do you cover?
We mainly recruit skilled workers and specialists (for example engineers, IT professionals, healthcare staff, logistics experts, and technical trades). We also support selected mid-level and senior roles where international talent is needed.

From which countries or regions do you source candidates?
We source globally, with a focus on regions that have strong pools of qualified professionals interested in working in Germany and Europe. Specific sourcing regions depend on your industry, language requirements, and regulatory considerations.

How do you assess candidate quality?
We review CVs and documents, conduct structured interviews, verify key qualifications and, where necessary, check language skills and motivation. For regulated professions, we take into account recognition and licensing requirements.

Can you recruit only candidates who already speak German?
Where German is required for the role or for licensing, we prioritize candidates with the required level. For English-first environments, we can also source high-potential candidates who are still learning German.

Visa options and responsibilities

Which visa routes do you typically work with?
For Germany, we mainly support Skilled Worker visas, EU Blue Cards, and, where appropriate, the accelerated procedure under § 81a AufenthG. For other European countries, we work with the relevant national schemes for skilled workers.

What is our responsibility as the employer in the visa process?
You typically provide job offers, employment contracts, company documents, and confirmations required by the authorities. We guide you through what is needed and prepare drafts where possible, but you remain responsible for the accuracy of your company information.

What does Global Talent Connect handle?
We coordinate document collection, pre-check candidate and employer documents, liaise with candidates, and, where agreed, support communication with authorities and partners. We cannot replace official legal representation where this is required by law, but we work closely with specialized partners where needed.

Compliance and risk management

How do you help us stay compliant?
We structure the process so that documentation, timelines, and responsibilities are clear. We highlight relevant legal frameworks (for example immigration, labor, and data protection law) and point out where additional legal advice may be appropriate.

Do you guarantee that a visa will be granted?
No. The final decision always lies with the competent authorities. We help you and the candidate prepare a strong, complete application, but we cannot influence or guarantee outcomes.

Where can we learn more about your visa and compliance services?
You can find more details on the page Visa & Compliance for Employers and in the article How the § 81a Fast-Track Visa Process Works.

What employers are responsible for

What are our main obligations when hiring international talent?
You must comply with all applicable labor, immigration, and social security regulations. Typical obligations include issuing a lawful employment contract, paying agreed salaries and contributions, ensuring proper registration with authorities, and informing authorities of relevant changes.

Who is responsible for the accuracy of company and job information?
You are. We can support you in structuring and checking information, but only you can confirm that company data, job descriptions, and contract terms are correct and up to date.

What support do you provide after the candidate arrives?
Depending on the cooperation model, we can assist with arrival coordination, registration appointments, and initial onboarding. The employer remains responsible for workplace integration, onboarding, and ongoing employment conditions.

Can you advise on labor law and contracts?
We can share practical experience and typical market practices, but we do not replace specialized legal advice. Where necessary, we recommend that you consult a labor law expert.

Cooperation models and scope

Which cooperation models do you offer for employers?
We usually work on a project-based or package basis for defined roles or hiring needs. For some clients, we also design ongoing frameworks for repeated international hires.

What is typically included in your employer packages?
Depending on the package, services may include role definition, sourcing and outreach, pre-screening, interview coordination, offer support, visa and document coordination, and relocation guidance. You can find examples in our Employer Services overview and in the Employer Packages section of our shop.

Can we start with a single hire?
Yes. Many employers start with one pilot hire and then scale up based on results.

Fees, cost sharing, and contracts

How are your fees structured for employers?
Fees depend on the cooperation model, role complexity, and whether visa and relocation support are included. We use transparent pricing without hidden charges; details are outlined in our offers and, where relevant, in our service contracts.

Who pays for which costs (recruitment, visa, relocation)?
Typically, employers cover recruitment and employer-side visa-related costs, while candidates may cover certain personal expenses (for example translations or travel), depending on local law and your internal policy. We clarify cost responsibilities with you in advance.

What kind of contract will we sign?
We usually sign a service agreement defining scope, fees, payment terms, responsibilities, and limitations of liability. The general framework is further described in our Terms & Conditions.

How we handle your data

How do you protect our company and candidate data?
We process personal and business data in line with applicable data protection law (including GDPR where applicable). Access is limited to staff and partners who need the data to deliver services, and we use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect it.

Do you sign confidentiality or data processing agreements?
Yes. For many employer clients we sign confidentiality clauses or separate data processing agreements where required. We are happy to review your standard templates.

How long do you store data?
We keep data only as long as necessary for the purposes described in our cooperation agreement and as required by law. An overview of typical retention periods is provided in our Privacy Policy.

Where can we find more details on privacy?
For a full overview, please see our Privacy Policy, in particular the sections on data types, purposes, and your rights.
